Coyle’s is like a bulk food store but everything’s already put in small bags and labelled with the weight and price, so you aren’t shocked by the amount of the bill when the cashier rings up your purchases! They have a large assortment of candy and snack foods such as humbugs, horehound drops, Uncle Rays Chips for $0.99/150g bag, toasted corn, peanuts, Foley’s Mints (aka Misty Mints), Cow Tales (chewy caramel stick with a vanilla flavoured centre – 3/$0.99), Olde English Cookie & Fudge Company fudge in flavours such as Orange Chocolate and Butterfly Kisses. I like the little individual packets of jams, peanut butter and Kraft Dressings they have, as they are super handy to pack in your lunch bag. They used to have purple (grape) and green (mint) licorice, the only place I’ve ever seen those two flavours but they no longer carry them. After stocking up on treats, you can look through all the gift items and seasonal items such as mini wind chimes for $1.99, Lone Pine Ghost Stories, calendars, cards, Webkinz, garden items (spring/summer) and Christmas ornaments (fall/winter). Baking supplies, kitchen gadgets, soup mixes, spices and dried goods can also be found here.
And of course, I have to show off my girly cherry purse I bought for $7 at their sidewalk sale last month.
