Recession? What Recession?!

The malls are crowded, stores are packed and everyone has at least one bag of merchandise hanging off their arm. Apparently people aren't aware we're experiencing a recession or they don't know what that means or they just don't care. It's not like the stores are offering amazing deals to lure people through their doors to part with their hard earned money.

I'm sure the recent bout of warm, sunny weather has people eager to make spring purchases to 'celebrate' the coming season. I'm trying to resist the urge as I don't change over to my warmer weather wardrobe until May, but I've found a way to fulfill the urge for something new without spending a fortune. It's called buying a new purse. Yes, something as basic (and necessary) as a purse helps satisfy that shopping urge and I have something new, bright and cheerful to show off. My golden rule is to never pay more than $50 for a purse (so I obviously don't own anything made of leather but I do have a small suede handbag). I was delighted to have a super cheap purse store recommended to me by more than one person - Bags Fashion. This little shop sells most purses for $9.99-$19.99. I bought this metallic, lime green bag with detachable strap for only $9.99! They do have more conservative bags for those not into bright and shiny as well as bags large enough to hold workout wear so you can still look fashionable while heading to the gym.

Don't forget that Winners is also a great place to buy a fabulous bag for $40 or less.
